In this course w’ll work with soft and fluid movements. Where can we soften and How can we move with more ease and kindness towards ourselves?
If we slow down we can start to feel the sensations of a movement. Quite often giving a surprisingly enjoyable and contend feel to it.
Find your own alignment
W’ll explore the concept of Navel Radiation. When we initiate a movement from our centre and let it ripple out towards our limbs, w’ll find our own alignment. In this way we become our own teacher.

Quite often we are not aware of the way we move throughout the day. Using one arm and side more then the other, standing more on one leg, carrying the bag always on one side. These habits, although little, create an imprint in the body and in time can result in imbalances and aches and pains. Lower back, hips and shoulders in particular can get naggy when we use our body over and over in the wrong way.

In this course you learn how to correct your own posture. Where are you collapsed or to tight? and where can you bring awareness to undo further imbalance and restore a habit that isn’t sustainable.
When you correct your posture you increase your vitality. Standing properly upright gives lift to the body which brings a feeling of aliveness, strength and joy.

Follow-up course
Gain more flexibility, while feeling calm and balanced
This slow flow will take you into your hips with a combination of movement and holding poses. A gentle series to find a new range of movement. In this way you help the pelvic, the foundation of your posture, to move in a proper way, improving alignment and decrease any back pain.
Every class ends with a restorative rest, so you’ll feel relaxed, open and recharged after your practice.

Why is it important to open your hips?
In Western cultures, tights hips are common. Whether from spending a lot of time sitting or from doing sports like running or cycling. When the hips are tight, they increase the load on the back and cause overuse of the spine. Often this results in back pain or a weak posture. In these classes we’ll find new spaces, slowly resettling in our pelvic bowl.
